We’re looking for a Head of Accounting in Slovenia to lead local financial operations, ensure financial integrity, and play a key role in supporting our U.S. finance team. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all core accounting processes for Bird Buddy Studio d.o.o., including payroll, taxes, and monthly reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Slovenian and international standards.
• Manage the relationship with the local accounting firm to coordinate payroll, tax filings, and statutory reporting, aligning outputs with internal objectives.
• Collaborate with the U.S. finance team to ensure smooth financial coordination and contribute to global reporting and consolidation efforts.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies to ensure financial transparency and mitigate risk.

Key Qualifications

• Proven experience managing the Slovenian subsidiary of a U.S. company.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal (C1 level or above).
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, demonstrating adaptability, strategic problem-solving, and the capacity to drive financial excellence in dynamic and evolving business landscapes.
• CPA or equivalent certification. In-progress ok.
• Previous startup experience a plus but not required.
