We're looking for a Food Scientist to join our awesome team.

Your understanding of the science behind cultivated fat and plant-based meat will make you an essential member of our new Food team. You will set up a food science lab in central London, investigating the properties of our cultivated fat to create a new generation of delicious meat alternatives. Combining analytical work and new product development, you will be responsible for ingredient analysis, food safety, formulation development and sensory testing.

At every step, you’ll play a huge role in shaping the future of food.

You should have:

• Education in food science, chemistry or a related discipline
• At least 3-5 years’ professional experience in a food science lab or food manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience in plant-based and/or cultivated-meat product development
• Strong understanding of food chemistry, including lipid chemistry and lipidomics
• Experience conducting sensory evaluations, shelf-life testing, QC/QA and food safety testing
• Familiarity with ofod microbiology and food safety regulations including HACCP
• Experience following nutritional guidelines and regulations
• A passion for plant-based food and novel food technology
• A talent for teamwork and collaboration
  
  

Ideally you'll have experience in some, but not necessarily all, of the following areas:

• Analysing and testing novel food ingredients
• Generating and interpreting analytical chemistry data, including statistical methods
• Managing partnerships with CROs
