Your Mission

As a Team Lead, you'll be the cornerstone of a dynamic engineering squad, guiding 5-7 talented engineers as they tackle complex challenges and build innovative solutions. You're not just a manager—you're a coach, mentor, and advocate who helps each team member unlock their full potential while delivering exceptional value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and inspire a squad of 5-7 engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Conduct regular one-on-ones that go beyond status updates—creating meaningful connections that drive personal growth and team cohesion
• Lead comprehensive performance reviews that celebrate achievements, identify growth opportunities, and co-create actionable development plans
• Remove blockers proactively, creating an environment where engineers can focus on what they do best—building exceptional products
• Balance technical excellence with business impact, ensuring your team's work directly contributes to our mission of simplifying hospitality management
• Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, serving as the trusted voice of your engineering squad
• Translate technical complexity into clear business value, ensuring alignment between engineering efforts and company objectives
• Facilitate transparent communication channels that keep everyone informed, engaged, and moving in the same direction
• Establish and monitor meaningful metrics that showcase your team's impact and the health of your technical domain
• Transform data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement
• Share compelling data stories that highlight team achievements, identify trends, and inform strategic planning
• Create visibility into your domain's performance, enabling proactive problem-solving and celebrating wins backed by concrete results

About you

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, including backend and API development.
• Proven track record of successfully leading engineering squads of 5+ people through complex projects and deliveries
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails
• Experience with React or similar modern frontend frameworks.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Bootstrap, etc.) and responsive design principles.
• Understanding of distributed systems, architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with testing frameworks (unit, integration, automation) for backend systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and translate technical concepts to business value
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a passion for developing engineering talent
• Good communication and collaboration skills in English.
• Experience in SaaS or high-growth startup environments is a plus.
