BirdBuddy is a fast-growing tech company building products that bring people closer to nature through smart hardware, software, and data. As we scale globally, we’re strengthening our internal systems, security, and operations - and we’re looking for a hands-on IT Systems Administrator who will also take ownership of information security and NetSuite administration.
This is a practical, doer role for someone who enjoys owning systems end-to-end, improving processes, and working closely with both technical and non-technical teams.
The Role
You will be the go-to person for internal IT, security, and NetSuite, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency across the company. This is a unique opportunity to take charge of IT operations, own all critical systems, and expand into ERP management and integrations troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and LastPass
- Handle user access management, permissions, and offboarding
- Own information security practices, access to critical tools, and security assessments
- Manage certificates, error monitoring, and system uptime
- Administer NetSuite (access rights, upgrades, workflows, integrations)
- Monitor and troubleshoot API integrations between NetSuite and external partners
- Manage software licenses, subscriptions, and cost optimization
- Handle vendor communication, contract negotiations, and renewals
- Support process automation and internal efficiency improvements
- Provide IT and office-related support for employees
- Manage IT equipment procurement and company network infrastructure
Key Qualifications
- Experience in IT systems administration or a similar role
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or another ERP system is a plus
- Good understanding of information security principles
- Experience with user management, access control, and troubleshooting
- Scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, JavaScript)
- API troubleshooting (REST APIs, edge cases) is a plus
- Comfortable working independently and owning systems end-to-end
