What the job involves

• At Footium, we're bringing football to life like never before. As a multiplayer Football Management game, we offer fans the chance to live their dream of becoming a Football Manager and Club Owner. It's social, it's rewarding and it's fiercely competitive!
• Following our successful launch back in October, the game is now live—thousands of clubs are battling it out daily to build stronger squads, crush rivals and rise through the divisions to claim glory!
• Please note though we offer a hybrid working policy, this role would require onsite visits to our London office around once or twice per month
• We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer who can take features from concept to production with confidence
• You’ll have the real opportunity to own the full development lifecycle. Including planning the technical architecture to building an MVP, refining it through iteration, tackling the odd bug, and ensuring we’re ready for launch! You'll also play a key role in maintaining and enhancing features to keep our product at their best, with a curiosity-driven mindset to pick up new tools and skills quickly
• Design, build, and maintain scalable and accessible fullstack features using TypeScript, ReactJS, NextJS, and NodeJS
• Optimise front-end and back-end performance to ensure a seamless experience for our users
• Ability to problem solve and quickly create awesome prototypes and user based solutions
• Implement and maintain our design systems, component libraries and UI frameworks (e.g. ChakraUI, Tailwind)
• Develop and integrate GraphQL APIs to improve data efficiency and performance
• Deploy containers using Docker, contributing to a smooth CI/CD workflow
• Open to learning new technologies and best practices as the business evolves

• 30 minute video chat with our TA to discuss your experience and interest in joining us here at Footium. (*He's quite nice, honest!)
• Follow up call with one of our hiring managers, lasting around 60 minutes. Here we'll continue your initial call but dive a little deeper into technical detail and hands on examples
• Tech discussion and task with one of our engineers! The task is based on a simple, real world scenario you'd encounter
• After your task, we'll pick your brain as to your solution and give you a chance to have a one on one discussion with someone working on the platform daily
• Culture and values visit: Final discussion based on our culture and values, make sure we haven't missed anything as well as a chance for you to visit our office space. (*We'll often grab lunch too, it's quite chill tbh).
