About The Role
Invisible’s product is a no code solution for managing business processes including the orchestration of AI, Automation, Data Integrations, and workforce management. Our Platform group is responsible for ensuring continuous availability and reliability of these systems including management of CI/CD pipelines, core backend services for data storage, process execution, queuing, monitoring and alerting.
The current Platform team is a single engineering pod. You’ll join to help us scale this single team into a group of multiple teams focused on specific services and personas (ex. Developer Productivity, Data Management, Process Execution).

- Leadership - Your role is not just to manage, but to lead. You will be expected to provide clear direction, mentorship, and support to your teams, setting the example for how to work and behave. You will also be responsible for hiring and performance management, ensuring your teams are staffed with the best talent and performing at their best.
- Technical Proficiency - As a technical leader, you will be expected to have a deep understanding of software engineering principles and processes, be able to understand and discuss architectural decisions, and contribute to the development of our technical infrastructure. What We Need
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering managers in a high growth environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience. You won’t be writing code but you need to be able to speak with authority on deep technical issues and drive programs that ensure high quality implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross-functional engineering teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration, innovation, and efficiency across teams.
- Experience building and maintaining high scale high throughput cloud based applications
- Proven experience in designing and managing distributed systems at scale, with a deep understanding of consistency, partitioning, and resilience in highly available systems.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes and the ecosystem of operational tools associated with it.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining SRE practices, including service level objectives (SLOs), service level indicators (SLIs), and incident management processes to ensure platform reliability.
- Strong background in leveraging data and metrics to drive decision-making processes, with experience in setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering teams.
- Experience in managing engineering budgets, including headcount planning, vendor management, and optimizing resource allocation across multiple teams.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, with experience implementing secure development practices and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience.

Compensation:
- Base: $230,000
- Base + Bonus Target: $315,000
- This role is eligible to participate in Invisible’s equity plan.
The amount listed above is the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
