Our Mission

At Round, we're putting finance and operations on autopilot. Not another CFO co-pilot - real workflows that think, act, and execute across tools, protocols, and banking rails.

We're combining the power of infrastructure with AI to push the frontiers of what's possible in finance.

Finance teams at SMEs and mid-market companies still run on spreadsheets, email chasing, and manual processes. We're replacing that with an AI-powered financial OS: treasury, payments, AP, FX, and AI agents, all in one platform. Hundreds of businesses already run their finance on Round, and we're backed by leading early-stage VC firms and scouts from a16z, Sequoia, Accel, and Atomico.

We're growing quickly in the UK, and the US is next.

The basics

  • 📍 London, Shoreditch. Three days a week in the office minimum, whole team in on Fridays
  • 💰 Competitive salary and meaningful equity (EMI scheme). Every founding hire has a real stake in the outcome. We'll talk through the numbers properly on the first call
  • 🥇 Founding hire, working directly with Pac (CEO)
  • 🚀 You're founding a function, not joining one. You build it, then you hire the team under it
  • 🏖️ 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • 🍜 Weekly team lunch, annual offsites, brand new MacBook
  • About the role

Your mission is to build one of the strongest networks in finance, and to look after the customers it brings us once they're through the door.

As AI makes it easier than ever to automate outbound, being in the room is becoming the harder thing to copy. We think the next generation of category-defining companies will be built around products and ecosystems, and we're hiring someone to build ours from scratch.

You'll bring together founders, CFOs, investors and operators through dinners, roundtables, webinars and partnerships. Those relationships become a community, that community becomes a distribution channel, and that channel compounds. Every event feeds pipeline today and a database tomorrow.

Worth being clear on one thing: this isn't only an events job. Events will take up something like a third of your week. The rest is whatever a fast-growing GTM function needs and doesn't yet have anyone for. Getting new customers live, writing the content, running the partnerships, fixing what's broken. You get a mission rather than a to-do list, and some weeks will look nothing like the one before.

The other thing to know is how we work. We build our own tools here. Every call is recorded and searchable, agents hold context across the business, and when something is slow or manual the answer is usually a few hours in Claude rather than a new hire or a ticket to engineering. You'll be doing the same, on your own patch, from week one. Nobody is going to hand you an ops team.

You lead from the front. You're the one opening the dinners, moderating the roundtables and representing Round on stage, not organising from behind the scenes.

You're building a company inside a company, with a live customer base instead of a cold start. And you keep the network either way.

    What you'll be doing

  • Build the events engine from nothing. CFO dinners, breakfasts, roundtables, poker nights, webinars, hackathons, conferences. You pick what we run and own the calendar end to end. Every event gets a target list, a budget and a pipeline number against it.
  • Be the face of it. You open the dinners, moderate the roundtables, host the webinars and take the mic when Round is on stage. CFOs should know your name.
  • Own the marketing around it. Invites, landing pages and promotion before. Recaps, speaker clips, LinkedIn and the newsletter after. A dinner for 20 becomes content for 2,000. A webinar for 200 becomes a funnel.
  • Automate your own job. Invite sequences, RSVP chasing, guest research, follow-up drafting, attribution. If you're still doing that by hand in month three, something has gone wrong. We'd rather you spent an afternoon building the thing that does it than three months doing it yourself.
  • Get customers live. Once sales hands over, onboarding is yours. Running the calls, chasing what's needed, making sure the account is properly up and running rather than just signed. You'll learn the product this way, and you'll hear what customers care about first hand, which makes the rest of the job easier.
  • Borrow other people's audiences. Co-host with startups who share our customers. Partner with the organisations that already have our buyers' attention. Bring in sponsors, from VCs through to the AI and fintech brands CFOs care about.
  • Wire it into sales. Every event, intro and conversation lands in HubSpot, properly attributed, so sales knows who to call the morning after. Our GTM Ops lead builds the systems underneath it. You fill the engine, you don't rebuild it.
  • Turn the database into a community. Give it a name and a membership people apply to join, and build media around it so being a member means something. You build it, you lead it, and you hire a team under it.
  • About you

You're a founder type. Maybe you've founded before, maybe you're about to. Either way, this seat is built for you.

  • You build things. When something is slow or repetitive you go and fix it yourself. An agent, a script, a scrappy internal tool, a workflow stitched together out of whatever was to hand. We want to see one. It doesn't have to have worked, and it definitely doesn't have to be impressive to an engineer.
  • You're properly AI fluent. Not "I use ChatGPT for first drafts", but you've sat down with a problem and come out the other side with something running. If a new model drops on a Tuesday you've tried it by Thursday. This is how the whole company operates and you'll feel out of place if it isn't already how you work.
  • You're a generalist and happy about it. You can run an event, a partnership, an onboarding call and a LinkedIn post in the same week, and you'd rather have four half-formed skills you're improving than one you've perfected. Specialists come later. Right now we need someone who picks up whatever is in front of them.
  • You've lived in a CRM before, ideally HubSpot. Lists, workflows, sequences, attribution, keeping the data clean enough to trust. This isn't a dealbreaker if everything else is there, but it's the difference between being useful in your first week and your fourth.
  • You work off outcomes. We give you a mission, you work out how, and you keep us posted along the way.
  • You're comfortable out front. You can moderate a roundtable of CFOs, keep the quiet ones talking, and cut off the one who won't stop.
  • You know who should meet whom, and your emails get opened.
  • You think in distribution. What happens at an event becomes content that travels.
  • No qualifications needed. Show us something you filled and something you built.
  • People who tend to do well here: ex-founders, founders' associates and chiefs of staff who already run the show, VC platform people who ran the fund's dinners, operators who taught themselves to build and now can't stop, finance leaders who built a CFO community on the side, BD people from high-growth companies, and community builders who grew a scene from nothing.

    Our process

Four steps, and we try to get through the whole thing inside two weeks.

  • Thirty minute intro call with Pac
  • A proper first interview, about an hour
  • 90 minute deep dive and case study with Pac and someone from the team
  • Coffee with Hayyaan, our other co-founder. Not a test
  • How to apply?

Email careers@roundtreasury.com with your CV, a bit about yourself, something you filled (in person or online), and something you built. Tell us what it does, what you used, and what broke.
