Our Mission

At Round, we're putting finance and operations on autopilot. Not another CFO co-pilot - real workflows that think, act, and execute across tools, protocols, and banking rails.

We're combining the power of infrastructure with AI to push the frontiers of what's possible in finance.

Finance teams at SMEs and mid-market companies still run on spreadsheets, email chasing, and manual processes. We're replacing that with an AI-powered financial OS: treasury, payments, AP, FX, and AI agents, all in one platform. Hundreds of businesses already run their finance on Round, and we're backed by leading early-stage VC firms and scouts from a16z, Sequoia, Accel, and Atomico.

We're growing quickly in the UK, and the US is next.

  • 🍜 Weekly team lunch, annual offsites, brand new MacBook
  • About the role

We're looking for a Founder's Associate to work directly with Pac and Hayyaan. This is a role for someone with extremely high agency and raw talent, and it doesn't come with a neat job description. Your job is to work out what matters most and make it happen. One week you might be helping close a major customer, the next you could be working on a hiring project, preparing for an important meeting, fixing something that's broken, building an AI workflow or taking ownership of a completely new problem. The week after could look nothing like either. That's the point.

Some of the work will be exciting. Some of it will be completely unglamorous. We're looking for someone who is equally happy doing both. You'll regularly be given problems you've never seen before, and we expect you to get smart quickly, work out what needs to happen and get moving. You won't always have someone telling you what good looks like, so you need to be comfortable figuring that out yourself.

We're a small team, so there is nowhere to hide. If something matters and nobody owns it, it will probably become your problem. The role will change constantly as Round grows, and if you're exceptional, you'll earn the opportunity to take ownership of something important.

    What you'll be doing

There isn't really a fixed list. You'll work directly with the founders across the company and take on whatever problems are most important that week.

  • Work on the company's biggest priorities. Help turn the things that matter most into things that actually happen.
  • Take problems from zero to done. Get up to speed quickly, work out a plan and drive it through without needing someone to manage you.
  • Help build the company. You'll work across customers, sales, product, marketing, operations, hiring, fundraising and strategy depending on what the company needs.
  • Build and improve things. Processes, internal tools, AI workflows, systems, whatever makes Round faster or better.
  • Do the unglamorous work. Chase something down, fix something broken, organise something messy or pick up the work nobody else wants to do. If it matters, it matters.
  • Spot problems before they're assigned to you. The best people in this role won't just execute a list. They'll see something that isn't working and do something about it.
  • About you

We're looking for someone with very high agency and raw talent. You don't need to have done this job before, and we're much more interested in what you've actually made happen than the titles on your CV.

  • Very high agency. You don't wait to be told what to do. You see what needs doing and get on with it.
  • Intellectual curiosity. You want to understand how things work and can get smart on a new problem quickly.
  • Excellent written communication. You can take something complicated and make it clear.
  • Strong organisational ability. You can keep lots of things moving without dropping the important ones.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. A vague problem doesn't paralyse you. It gives you somewhere to start.
  • Willingness to do unglamorous work. No job is beneath you if it needs doing.
  • Ability to jump between completely different problems. You can change direction quickly without losing momentum.
  • Commercial instinct. You care about customers, revenue and building a great business.
  • No ego about execution. You care about getting the outcome, not whether you get credit for it.
  • You don't need to be an expert in growth, you don't need fintech experience and you don't need a particular degree. We're looking for someone who has demonstrated that when they decide something needs to happen, it happens. Maybe you've built something on the side, maybe you've started a company, maybe you've taken on something at university or work that nobody asked you to do and turned it into something meaningful. Maybe you've done something completely different. We're interested in the evidence of talent, ambition and agency.

    The opportunity

You'll work directly with the founders while Round is still small enough that one person can have a disproportionate impact. You'll see how the whole company works and get exposure to customers, sales, product, marketing, operations, hiring, fundraising and strategy. You'll be given responsibility early, and you'll have the opportunity to work on problems that most people at your stage of career simply wouldn't get near.

We're not looking for someone who wants to be a Founder's Associate forever. We're looking for someone who could become one of the people who builds Round.

    Our process

Four steps, and we try to get through the whole thing inside two weeks.

  • Thirty minute intro call with Pac
  • A proper first interview, about an hour
  • 90 minute deep dive and case study with Pac and someone from the team
  • Coffee with Hayyaan, our other co-founder. Not a test
  • How to apply?

Email careers@roundtreasury.com with your CV, a bit about yourself, and something you've made happen that you're proud of. It could be something you built, started, fixed, organised, sold or figured out. Tell us what you did, why you did it, and what happened.

Please keep the subject as "Founder's Associate / Your name"
