The Impact You’ll Make
Serna Bio is building the world’s first map of the druggable transcriptome, systematically opening up the universe of RNA biology to small molecule drug discovery. Using our Discovery Platform, we are tackling the classically intractable targets ranging from coding and non-coding RNA. In this role, you will:
- Design and lead experiments to move our drug discovery programs forward
- Own our early-stage drug discovery project timelines by establishing timelines and leading on fundamental scientific questions.
- Manage project progress on drug discovery target work both in-house and in with Contract Research Organizations (CROs), towards the progression of our early drug discovery programs.
- Play a leading role in experiment and project design and data analysis/ interpretation
The work
As a Cancer Biology Projects Lead, you will be responsible for driving, monitoring, and reporting project delivery for our early-stage discovery programmes. Using your knowledge and experience in oncology research and project management, you will be accountable for applying structured scientific, project, resource and CRO management and processes to define and deliver against drug discovery timelines
You will be skilled in asking complex questions of the science and managing project delivery via global partners. Experience in leading complexity and prioritising work in line with business priorities is a key skill for this role, in addition to being adaptable, collaborative and motivated to find solutions and reach goals.
This role entails delivering consistent, professional support on projects involving external stakeholders like CROs and academic collaborators.
