Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Group Financial Accountant will become a key member of the finance team, covering a wide range of critical finance responsibilities and provide a superb springboard for an ambitious candidate looking to progress their career in finance. Duties
- Responsible for the group revenue recognition and accounts receivable processes, including application of IFRS 15 across product offering, billing and collections, collaborating with Sales and Legal teams to review customer contracts, and working closely with business units to ensure compliance with revenue policies.
- To become the subject matter expert for the revenue/billing module within Workday ERP system by taking responsibility for reporting from the system, ensuring data integrity and generating new analytical insights from the operational data.
- Own the month-end close process in relation to revenue process, including group wideIFRS accounting, journals and reconciliations.
- Assistance with the preparation of management and statutory accounts across the group.
- Provision of high quality technical accounting and financial analysis as needed
- Improve transactional and reporting processes and controls, taking charge of monitoring and identifying ways to make processes more efficient.
- Assess and understand the consequences of changes to accounting standards and reporting practices and proactively raise the implications they will have on the business
- Ensure that VAT returns are prepared accurately and submitted on a timely basis and working with external tax advisors
- Other ad hoc tasks to support the wider finance team
