Description

Job Summary

The Partnerships Manager is a commercially driven, results-oriented professional responsible for identifying, developing and managing strategic B2B and B2B2C partnerships that drive growth across both the transactions and credit verticals at Affinity. Reporting to the Head of Growth, Partnerships, this role is the primary engine for expanding Affinity’s reach and revenue through ecosystem relationships, particularly within Ghana’s technology, fintech, and digital commerce sectors.

The role combines the full partnership lifecycle, from prospecting and deal structuring through to onboarding, activation and ongoing performance management — across two equally weighted partnership streams: transaction partnerships (payment aggregators, merchants, digital platforms, fintechs) and credit partnerships (co-lending, loan origination and distribution). The Partnerships Manager also provides line management to the Credit Analysts, ensuring rigorous credit assessment supports the growth of the credit partnership pipeline.

This is a high-impact commercial role that demands the energy of a hunter, the relationship intelligence of an account manager, and the analytical discipline to structure deals that create lasting value for Affinity, its partners, and their shared customers.

About Affinity

We are an award-winning, fully fledged digital bank built in Ghana for Africa, on a mission to make banking accessible, relevant, and empowering for everyday people.

By providing free bank accounts with no monthly fees and interest on all products, as well as affordable loans, Affinity drives innovation and economic growth through meaningful financial inclusion. Our goal is to bank one million Ghanaians by 2030.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Partnership Identification & Prospecting : Actively identify, research and qualify new partnership opportunities across both the transactions and credit verticals, with a particular focus on Ghana’s technology ecosystem, digital platforms, fintechs, payment aggregators, and SME-serving businesses.

  • B2B Relationship Development & Management : Build and sustain high-quality, trust-based relationships with decision-makers at partner organisations, including technology companies, fintechs, aggregators, corporate employers and financial intermediaries, to establish Affinity as the preferred financial services partner of choice.

  • B2B2C Relationship Development & Management : Design and manage B2B2C partnership models that use corporate or platform partners as a distribution channel to acquire and serve Affinity’s individual and SME end-customers at scale, creating value for the partner’s own customers while growing Affinity’s user base.

  • Transaction Partnership Delivery : Own the end-to-end commercial management of Affinity’s transaction partnerships, including payment aggregators, merchant networks, digital platforms and mobile money integrations, driving transaction volume, activation and revenue.

  • Credit Partnership Delivery : Own the commercial management of Affinity’s credit partnerships, including co-lending arrangements, loan origination and distribution partnerships, ensuring these relationships generate quality credit volumes while maintaining sound credit standards.

  • Commercial Negotiation & Deal Structuring : Lead commercial negotiations with prospective and existing partners, structuring deals that deliver sustainable revenue, fair risk allocation and competitive terms for Affinity, while building long-term partnership value.

  • Partner Onboarding & Activation : Manage the structured onboarding of new partners from contract signature through to full activation, coordinating with internal teams across Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance and Operations to ensure partners go live efficiently and compliantly.

  • Pipeline & Performance Reporting : Maintain accurate partnership pipeline records and produce structured performance reports that give the Head of Growth, Partnerships and the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) clear visibility of partnership revenue, volumes, deal status and portfolio health.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination (Technology, Risk & Legal) : Work closely with the Technology, Risk, Compliance and Legal teams to ensure that all partnership structures, integrations and credit arrangements are technically sound, legally robust and fully compliant with BoG regulations and Affinity’s internal policies.

What Success Looks Like

  • A robust and continuously refreshed pipeline of qualified partnership prospects maintained across transactions and credit verticals
  • Strong working relationships established and maintained with key contacts at all active and prospective partner organisations
  • B2B2C partnership structures developed with clear value propositions for the partner, their end-customers and Affinity
  • Transaction partnership volumes and revenue targets achieved on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Credit partnership origination volumes and quality targets achieved consistently
  • Deals negotiated and closed within commercially acceptable parameters approved by the Head of Partnerships
  • All new partners onboarded within agreed timelines from contract execution to activation
  • Pipeline updated accurately and consistently to reflect real-time deal status across all prospects and active partners
  • All partnership agreements reviewed and approved by Legal and Risk before execution
